Book Arts Collaborative
(Public Relations Intern, August 2019 - December 2019)
I supported the Book Arts Collaborative, a community press and bookbinding studio in Muncie, by managing their digital presence and promoting local workshops and events. This internship deepened my experience in public relations and creative content development, allowing me to blend storytelling with hands-on artistry in a collaborative environment.
Key Contributions:
Managed the studio’s social media accounts and website to highlight upcoming workshops, artist features, and community partnerships.
Planned and executed public events that celebrated traditional printing and bookbinding techniques.
Photographed workshops and artist demonstrations for use in marketing materials and online promotions.
Collaborated with student artisans and local creatives to showcase the value of handmade art through engaging digital storytelling.
During my internship, I documented the creativity and collaboration that filled the Book Arts Collaborative studio. Through photography and digital storytelling, I highlighted the hands-on process of printing, binding, and design, capturing the passion of student artisans and local makers as they shared the art of bookmaking with the community.
